ID: 38 Category: Easy Plant Maintenance 1.6 Status: Resolved Views: 863

Question:

I In the middle of looking at reports, a note came up saying that Maintain had been corrupted of failed and to use recover to fix it. It doesn't say how to get to Recover or how to do this.
I would like to get it back ASAP. How can I do This.
This is very Urgent. PLEASE RESPOND.

Solution:

We received a memo that this issue was resolved.

In the future,

1. Make sure you use the Exit button at all times to ensure that you backup your data.
2. There is a selection in the Easy Plant Maintenance program group in Windows to restore from backup.  Your backup is always located inside the Backup folder.  Simply copy the last saved maintained.usr file to your working folder and you are OK.
3. IMPORTANT: If you purchase a copy of FileMaker, there is a Restore function available with the full copy that allows you to repair files.
4. If all else fails, email us the file maintain.usr and we will run the repair function.
5. Read the on-line FAQs to make sure you don't damage files.  Make sure your batteries are fully charged, you don't overheat your computer, and that you don't have power outages that result in power off.  You should have a UPS unit.

Thanks.
