Cannot enter data or workorders

Question: I cannot enter data, write a record or write any data to my disk. None of my fields will accept data. What's the problem? Solution: This is not a FileMaker issue. Check your Windows permissions setting or check with your administrator. In Windows XP, is not enough to share a drive. You must give the user permission to write to the drive. Check the Windows XP documentation. Links to Windows support issues are available at Windows XP Support from Microsoft.
